Pros

Free membership & in the gym all day.

Cons

- cold calling - poor quality leads - low hourly - low commission - unrealistic quotas Cold calling & poor quality leads: Most of the profiles you’re calling are people who already decided they are not interested in joining and are now just lingering in the system. You’ll also see they’ve already gotten tons of call attempts, emails, and texts from other sales members and the system. But there are fresh leads that might sprinkle in throughout your day. These are people who are actively on the EoS website and filling out their info. But, it’s usually only a couple per day, and it’s up for grabs to anyone on the sales team. First one gets it. Walk/phone-ins are great, however, those are given out based on a ladder system (first GM, AGM, FC1, FC2, etc) Low pay: EOS’ own data shows that most fitness consultants only make 20k-30k a year, an incredibly low amount for the work and effort expected of you. Unrealistic quotas: With poor leads and low traffic, you’re still expected to hit high quotas. The higher ups are making these quotas with different goals in mind, and don’t quite understand the reality of the market and sales position.

Not great

Pros

People are good and try to stay motivated especially at the low end. Once you’ve been there for long enough motivation is not enough. The culture can be good if you make it that way.

Cons

The people, low pay, bad benefits. The company constantly asks more and more from their employees with what feels like no break. They constantly want more until they have squeezed every ounce of productivity out of you. No work life balance as you “grow” with the company and no real training for your position once you go above club manager.

Good first job

Pros

- Teaches work ethic - You can have great opportunities if you put the work - The experience you get is incredible - You meet great people - The 5 core values are great and is the main reasons EOS has different energy than most jobs - It’s a great “Grt your foot in the door sales job”. If you give it one year put up with all the bull sh*t and give it your all you learn great people skills and communication skills that you can take to better and higher paying jobs. - They’re trying to be better I’ll give them that

Cons

- Crazy hours when you get to management - Some club are easier than others however everyone is graded the same… not a very smart way to do it… (however they don’t really care if employees burnout) - Management is very unprofessional (ESPECIALLY ABOVE CLUB) - Favoritism is ridiculous - The amount of work you have to do for the pay is ridiculous - 90% of above club management is a joke (it’s one of the main reasons most of in-club sales managers can’t develop talent anymore) - HR department is even more of a joke than above club managers
