Pros

The food is a great plus, and the work environment is very friendly and collaborative.

Cons

The team lead structure typically leads to your salary being determined by someone who doesn't work very closely with you.

Pros

You get to work with healthcare organizations that literally take care of millions of patients where your corner of the project can have meaningful impact in both care given and $$'s saved. Fast paced work environment with very smart people with new challenges every day. Strong work culture focused on doing good and have fun (while making money). Flat organization (for some divisions) where you can move to positions to lead significant projects, company initiatives, etc. based on performance rather than tenure. Madison is a nice mix of big/small and has seasons. Within driving distance of big cities and the countryside. If you prefer work travel, lots of opportunities to visit new locations.

Cons

You. will. work. hard. You will have a lot of competing priorities. You're given a ton of trust to make ends meet. You're given a lot of autonomy and responsibility, but this is double edged so if you're not used to managing your own time or never been challenged in this way... it's something a lot of folks realize they don't want to do or even if they can do it, they may realize they don't want to work in the healthcare IT industry.

Pros

The people are awesome, the campus is amazing, and the benefits are really good.

Cons

A lot to learn, but the people there are always willing to help. The salary seems a little low for a software company, but the cost of living is pretty low in Wisconsin
