Management makes a lot of decisions (especially lately) that are incredibly tone deaf and borderline insulting. Some policies are put in place and the justification is shoddy at best. It probably isn't as bad as other people make it out, but it's bad enough that I'd be concerned if someone were to start working here.

-Insane workloads, heavy hours, mediocre benefits and PTO. Some on here are saying "Just say no to things you dumb agreeable college students." I promise you will be shown the door if you say no to anything at all. -You really have no idea what the work is like here until you are 6 months into the role. Recruitment doesn't do a good job of telling you what the role entails (TS or PM especially). They also don't tell you that they will constantly shift expectations to your detriment and expect you to say yes to everything. -Management has embraced micro-management. It has gotten far worse since my start in 2023. Expect to have every hour you spent or plan on spending scrutinized. You time log (as salary?!?!). It used to be flexible but now it's a 9-5. They've also reduced WFH options. They've reinforced the 45-hour minimum as an expectation. Plan on spending more than that as a newbie and for travel. -Campus/food/culture is overrated (sorry culinary). Culture is a facade to hide all the sad -Higher tenured folks (3+) were judgy, condescending, and generally unhelpful. They will sometimes report you to your TL (manager) if they feel your questions are stupid. "Just ask someone if you don't know what you're doing" -The work is challenging and you are given no legroom by management. I don't care which background you come from. I know so many exceptional people that don't succeed and get the sad. It has nothing to do with your IQ and everything to do with personality, connections and being the yes-man. They don't really want critical thinkers, they want blind followers. I'm being asked to leave after refusing to embrace policy changes btw. -Tears of Joy-
