Pros

Good pay in a low cost area It's a very young company Meaningful work and impact Depending on the area of the company the culture can be great. Focused on learning, growing, and solving problems.

Cons

High pressure, especially depending on team and position. Meaningful work can be used to guilt trip into working more. Tech stack is outdated. Again, this depends on team and it's constantly getting better.

Pros

Good pay, willing to hire fresh new grads, teammates are nice

Cons

Team culture is gone. You either have to be exceptionally talented or work 12–14 hour days, which is now standard for many junior and even senior devs. Your performance rating depends almost entirely on your team lead, with no clear benchmarks or path to improvement. If you miss expectations for three quarters, you're forced to set an end date.
