Pros

They have one the best health insurance policies. $0 liability. Free after 5 years. $90 a month for families. Pay Bonus Stocks

Cons

Management is not available for comment. A culture of secrecy dominates internally. Harassment is common. Polices preached are not practiced by those with authority. If you do follow the policy you will be reprimanded, and striped of title.

Pros

Good pay if you work hard and achieve more than over-achievers. Otherwise pay is decent but not an incentive to stay. I left at the 2yr mark for a job with better pay and work-life balance. Despite the competition that comes with the ranking system, almost everyone is very helpful and want to see other succeed. Lots of room for growth for highly motivated individuals.

Cons

Highly competitive. Really think deep if you’re willing to put in 50hrs/week to excel and establish yourself as a top performer. 40hrs/week will not cut it, trust me. See r/epicsystems for posts outlining their poor management practices and breakdown of low employee morale. Currently very understaffed and no clear plan to relieve employee overwork. Virtually no WFH.

Pros

* The pay is good for developers (100k --> 115K after 1 year, plus 50k in stocks) * The work is interesting and feels meaningful (improving health care software) * My coworkers are all decent people who are very smart * My immediate managers don't get in my way too much and give me plenty of autonomy * The health insurance is fantastic and absurdly cheap * Good WLB (as a developer, I never work more than 42 hours/week)

Cons

* Upper management is terrible (they deliberately ignored requests from employees about a meaningful DEI committee and offered a completely tone-deaf "alternative" to WFH/remote work that is intended to eliminate it) * 401(k) matching is not great (50% up to 6%? Pretty sad honestly) * Maintaining culture for the sake of culture, often to its own impediment
