Pros

Free food, and the 2 co-workers that I miss-that's it!

Cons

1) Bosses offer no feedback to help you improve before they fire you without reason. 2) you can make your goals, stay late almost every night and management could care less. (I did both and it did me no good.) 3) Bosses care so little about employees that when you have a question, they don't listen and instead talk over you. (This happened to me multiple times by both my bosses.) 4) most management is under 33 and have little to no other job experience to draw on which is why they don't understand everybody learns differently. 5) Bosses are terrible at teaching to different personality types. Everybody learns differently and doing their "cookie cutter" approach doesn't work for everyone. (See #4) 6) Management has no patience. The try to act like if you work hard, they will work with you, but this isn't the case so don't be fooled. 7) Too cliquish. It's hard to have a one on one with a boss, when if you do, you know that most of the company is going to hear about your conversation. 8) They constantly move employees to different managers which impedes learning, time constraints, and the overall recruiting process. It is completely unnecessary and hurts employees progress. Overall, I don't recommend working for this company. My experience was beyond horrible. Management is arrogant and could care less about their employees. They try to act like you are part of a family, but it quickly becomes clear that management only cares about themselves. This is coming from someone who has worked in a variety of companies and actually has other experience dealing w/managers that treat their employees w/respect. I feel like Epitec has this attitude that they think they are best, but I just don't see it. There was only one manager in my office that did actually care and unfortunately they weren't my boss. I wouldn't waste your time working for this company based on management alone. They are just ignorant and unless they want to change, they won't.

Pros

lots of incentives, commissions add up quick, monthly bonuses, company parties, lots of booze, occasionally they let you out early in the summer, free food.

Cons

constant fear of being fired, a different friend quits every week, management is constantly gossiping, 2 weeks notice is not a concept, you are basically setup for success/failure depending what team they arbitrarily assign you to, if you do not fit in with their culture they will sack you, most of upper managements' professional experience is limited to only epitec and none of them hold advanced degrees.

Don't work here.

Pros

Objectively: Remote work. You'll meet some individuals who will be supportive, collaborative, and great peers. Industry experience. Free food and company expensing things. Building relationships with candidates.

Cons

Poor, unhealthy, passive-aggressive, fear-based work culture that may minimally differ at a team level, but dominates company-wide. People ARE afraid of losing their jobs here. Favoritism is evident even when working remotely. Senior leadership at times can be inappropriate with comments and cussing. There is little to no professional development outside of the initial training period. You WILL be overworked. It does not matter when the work is slow or redundant (reworking orders numerous times), I found myself working 9-10 hours at times trying to meet numbers despite the pay. Micromanagement is prevalent company-wide. BIG emphasis on the inconsistency amongst account managers and how they support their recruiters. It may be important to consider, that they too may be overworked, but the disconnect is there. There's a large focus on candidate experience and management, but it doesn't translate. Personally, some things didn't align with me ethically, for example, stringing candidates along or normalizing white lies. Feel free to reference prior reviews that elaborate on this further. If a candidate doesn't accept an offer or changes their mind, you will take the fall for it and your screening and listening abilities will be questioned. Overall, numbers are all that they value and you're treated as such. Unrealistic expectations don't change despite limited sourcing resources and external factors like the economy or candidates changing their minds. Understandably it's business, but it's counter-intuitive for individual and team performance and morale. I made the mistake of ignoring the reviews before accepting my offer from the company and I'd highly recommend that you DON'T if you're considering working for Epitec. I hold the belief that there's always something to learn from our experiences, personally and professionally, and though this has been one of the worst professional experiences I've had, I fully understand now that no job is worth sacrificing your mental health for.
