Don't work here.

Pros

Objectively: Remote work. You'll meet some individuals who will be supportive, collaborative, and great peers. Industry experience. Free food and company expensing things. Building relationships with candidates.

Cons

Poor, unhealthy, passive-aggressive, fear-based work culture that may minimally differ at a team level, but dominates company-wide. People ARE afraid of losing their jobs here. Favoritism is evident even when working remotely. Senior leadership at times can be inappropriate with comments and cussing. There is little to no professional development outside of the initial training period. You WILL be overworked. It does not matter when the work is slow or redundant (reworking orders numerous times), I found myself working 9-10 hours at times trying to meet numbers despite the pay. Micromanagement is prevalent company-wide. BIG emphasis on the inconsistency amongst account managers and how they support their recruiters. It may be important to consider, that they too may be overworked, but the disconnect is there. There's a large focus on candidate experience and management, but it doesn't translate. Personally, some things didn't align with me ethically, for example, stringing candidates along or normalizing white lies. Feel free to reference prior reviews that elaborate on this further. If a candidate doesn't accept an offer or changes their mind, you will take the fall for it and your screening and listening abilities will be questioned. Overall, numbers are all that they value and you're treated as such. Unrealistic expectations don't change despite limited sourcing resources and external factors like the economy or candidates changing their minds. Understandably it's business, but it's counter-intuitive for individual and team performance and morale. I made the mistake of ignoring the reviews before accepting my offer from the company and I'd highly recommend that you DON'T if you're considering working for Epitec. I hold the belief that there's always something to learn from our experiences, personally and professionally, and though this has been one of the worst professional experiences I've had, I fully understand now that no job is worth sacrificing your mental health for.

Pros

The interview process was very smooth. Had a pre-interview before interviewing with the client that was very useful. Responsive to inquiries. Pay is always on time. Benefits have been decent. I like the 401k and HSA.

Cons

This may be positive or negative depending on your values but the company is very hands off lets you handle the relations with the client. Which is good to not be micromanaged. However sometimes it feels they forget about you unless you reach out to them.
