Overworked

Pros

There are good process and procedures set up.

Cons

Onboarding isn’t great and there is more work then the project managers can handle effectively. The hiring manager wasn’t honest about the work environment and the mess I’d be walking into or else I wouldn’t have accepted the job.

Pros

If u are interested in taking on more work, but wont get paid for doing people management, just for project management no variable or bonus payouts

Cons

it adds extra responsibilities and at once u might get more than 15 Direct Reports You are expected to manage the projects (usually 3 or more active projects u will be assigned) and handle People / Performance management for DRs. This adds more pressure and work for the Manager who cannot focus on just doing Project Management
