Pros

Career growth & advancement opportunities are everywhere Very fast paced dynamic environment Ability to influence technology decisions at the project and enterprise levels Ability to work on products, client projects, or corporate projects

Cons

Must manage work-life balance because of company growth. There is always more project work to do, so you must manage your time. Company growth rate and reorganizations cause some confusion. Finding the right person(s) to talk to across business units and locations can be tricky.

Pros

*There are some really smart people who are great to work with. *A lot of flexibility in schedule and telecommuting isn't an issue (depending somewhat on your direct supervisor) *the work is challenging, and in most cases there is a lot of collaboration across project teams and business groups

Cons

*almost impossible to change career paths within the organization *significant cultural differences between US offices which can result in disparate work ethics and one group feeling that they pick up the slack for another *terrible health insurance *disconnect between what is sold and what really needs to be delivered, which results in very long hours for the project team *little regard for the institutional knowledge of long-time employees. Very much a "what have you done for me lately" environment, in which people get let go regardless of their contribution, to meet a bottom line financial promise. Then new, less expensive replacements are brought in. *if you're not a favorite of senior management, forget about advancing *always willing to push a product to market before it is ready, and usually before a support model is in place. *very focused on the bottom line and short-sighted in building loyalty among employees.
