Pros

Barely any, other than the people you work with are really nice.

Cons

You’ll be forced to work with outdated equipment and managed by people desperate to relive the advertising hay day of the 1990s. If you need support, you won’t find it in management, because they’re either “out of office” or too “busy” to care. They believe that if you don’t like the toxic environment they create you can just leave, rather than create a sustainable modern work environment. The computer you’re issued isn’t one or two years old, it’s 4-5+ years out of date and they fill it 3/4 full with security software making everyone find other storage solutions for projects. Good luck opening two software programs because you’ll probably get an error message. And IT? Well they do their best but that resource is spread thin and they might not actually know how to solve your problem. And that’s just if that position is staffed. Projects come fast and from account teams who aren’t properly trained. They have no idea how to negotiate with the clients or how long any creative project will take. They’re usually young and hungry but left to figure out the industry for themselves, which usually leaves the creative dept in the lurch. And the creative team, they are overworked and treated simply as the rowers of the boat. Management thinks that if they’re not in their seats, then they aren’t working. This used to be an agency great for young professionals to get their feet wet, but if you work here you’ll drown.

Pros

Epsilon had good work-life balance, a decent office and decent benefits, even with all the outsourcing to India before the sale to Publicis. Publicis is trying to destroy all this...as if they want people to quit.

Cons

Things that Publicis has done since the take over: 1) Office Consolidation - handled horribly. People were told choose between going to an existing Publicis office with a nightmare of a commute, work from home full-time or work in the Epsilon office full time, but you will be given a new space in a smaller office. Among those who chose to stay, turns out many no longer have a permanent seat and have to do "hoteling". The move was announced a few days before the Christmas break - so those out on vacation could not pack up their stuff. Not sure what happened to them. 2) Benefits were consolidated right away. Well, more like all the good benefits Epsilon has were immediately taken away and we were transitioned to Publicis' inferior ones - more expensive health care, less 401k match, dismal parental leave - and that assumes that the transition even works. Publicis does not really have an HR so if your paycheck or benefits are screwed up, there is no one to turn to but an outsourced company that does nothing but copy/paste generic answers. The one thing Publicis had better than Epsilon was more holidays and that is the one thing they did not transition us to. So now people will be working in the same building as other Publicis employees and get to come in to work while their colleagues have a day off. What does that do for moral? 3) Lay-offs continue (especially if you are an older, more expensive employee) while work loads for the remainder are increasing. 4) The employee survey was cancelled - they are not interested in knowing.

Pros

Good location. Good location. Free parking. Close to rte 95 and rte 93. Here are addictions words apparently I am at 20 words.

Cons

Environment is toxic. The Mgmt fights and is hostile to each other. People look for the easiest and shortest route to being done.
