Pros

The on-site cafe is nice

Cons

Extreme micromanagement executed by fearful incompetents who would rather fire people than let them succeed. Complete lack of role definition. An ingrained culture of rudeness and an utter unwillingness to be helpful. No processes, no standards, no documentation, no training. Honestly I don't have even one positive thing to say about this place except there a handful of perfectly nice people desperately trying to escape it.

Pros

- Friday breakfasts provided by company in Schaumburg location. - Decent systems to work with - Top notch social media and highly technical folks

Cons

- they expect you to work until you get sick - highly political environment - use GE's Rank & Yank methodology to supposedly get a higher performing workforce by firing the bottom x percent of employees per department. As a result, instead of collaborating on solving problems, people have the incentive to back-stab and prevent their colleagues from being ranked higher than they are. Enter cesspool! - the pay is poor but better than another major competitor. - the insurance could be better.

Pros

Great experience in a broad range of competencies. You will strengthen your SQL skills, that much I can guarantee.

Cons

Long days, treated very poorly. The huge workload is expected to be performed by a minimal number of people while the accounts try to maintain their margins. The client is always right - no matter what the right thing to do is. You will receive no backup from upper management, at all. Your immediate manager has a lot less power/authority than you would thing. The account manager decides everything - and, they aren't technically saavy.
