Going down the hill

Pros

Equinix have been a great place to work for a long time. Environment and payment were great.

Cons

Since they changed the CEO, all sales conditions have been worsen every month and even applicable to past months. You would sell more every year just to receive less commissions than even 3 years before. Of course all the good people are leaving and the ones staying feel miserable. Also HR dont take reports seriously and Sales Ops basically dont want to pay the commissions you owned and your accounts were being moved without reasoning. Those 3 departments: CEO office, HR and Sales Ops are destroying the company.

Pros

To be honest at the point it's hard to tell. It used to be the people but not anymore.

Cons

The culture is down the drain. The few leaders left that have survived the leadership cleanup are now pretending like they were not a part of the past leadership. It's sad to see what can go wrong with a great company after a change in leadership. The thing they know to do best now is layoffs without any proper planning. HR is the worst, don't even get me started. Sad thing is this current leadership will sink the company, and by the time the Board wakes up to its responsibility it might be too late.

Pros

If you can work your way into a leadership role and establish a decent knowledge base, you will be rewarded. RTO for 2 days isn’t bad. Time will tell if policy doesn’t eventually creep back up. The freedom to work remotely is a good selling point in attracting talent and keeping it. There is a renewed sense of energy under new leadership, although the feeling amongst the revenue-generating roles is that we still need to move faster and with greater clarity. Still, optimism is there.

Cons

There is little collaboration and too much kingdom-building. The layers of leaders tend to manage upwards, leaving front-line managers in the lurch with little to no direction. More restrictions are being put around performance management despite the lack of direction, and new training and rules are handed down weekly to tighten the ropes. It’s highly demotivating.
