Pros

- You will meet wonderful people, both members and staff - Complimentary membership - You will make money if you over perform - Always tons of members with lots and lots of extra money to blow - Personal Training is backed by science (easy sell)

Cons

- Typical corporate politics - Many of the manager's are unhealthy, unfit, and out of shape - Low pay depending on the role - The culture can attract some pretty low conscious people both on the staff and especially on the member side. As I said above though, the good outweighs the bad, just don't take it personally. Many of the people who work out here are so insecure, it's actually very sad. - Clothing in the shop costs more than buying in the stores themselves, i.e.. Lululemon

Pros

Free gym if it matters

Cons

Terrible company, treats employees badly,TERRIBLE "benefits". You can make a fortune for them, but if your quota for the quarter falls short, you are dropped from insurance, even though you are paying your premiums. 2017 is supposed to be different with out quarterly reviews, but what has been put into place is no better. A health and wellness company SHOULD BE SETTING THE STANDARD for employee health benefits!

Pros

Free gym membership and that is pretty much it. Also discount to their overpriced store, massages and personal training. Nothing else

Cons

Terrible benefits and they expect you to work on New Years and on Black Friday. They don't pay you out for unused vacation days. They won't invest in your 401k till a year later. Don't let the consumer marketing fool you. Working corporate for equinox is pretty terrible. They operate really inefficiently and ineffective with outdated technology and methods. Executives look down on anyone below VP level. Management won't support growth and discourage collaboration between departments. Everyone for the most part is out for themselves. Don't expect to come here to be a part of the change because there really is none and they want you to just fall in line with CEO.
