Pros

Equity Methods is a diverse and inclusive work environment where everyone’s opinion is valued and can feel comfortable to bring their true selves to work. This is a great company if you want to lay strong foundation to your career and achieve success. There are lot of opportunities for new hires to learn and grow within the firm. The company truly pays attention to personal growth and development. Everyone in the firm is very intelligent and hard working. They go extra mile to make sure the work is high quality and meet the client expectation (the firm is rated as top 1 service provider in the industry for last 5 years).

Cons

If you’re looking for 9-5 job or like to have everything handed to you, it might not be the place for you. The expectations are high and it is very easy to stick out if you are not pulling your weight. The company is ready to give you all the support required, but you need to bring in same kind of commitment. Everyone in the firm have earned the stripe by working hard every day. Also, the company is growing at a fast pace, and sometimes it may not have the best process or structure to handle all the eventualities. It's part of growing pain, but the firm is doing its best to address them

Pros

You can't help but gain a lot of experience because you'll be working a lot of hours. Equity Methods also has good professional training; they are striving to offer a 'white-glove' service, and they certainly achieve that. Challenging, interesting, and niche work. A lot of the work is building reports using SAS. They don't require you to know how to code before starting and they will train you.

Cons

Very long hours, especially for the compensation: I worked an average of 65 hours per week. It doesn't get better as you progress through the company: senior consultants are also working long and stressful hours and are poorly compensated for the industry. Attrition is very high. They hire a lot of people every year. 25%-50% of new hires are fired within 3 months, and after 2 years only 1 or 2 remain.

Pros

Stimulating assignments, amazing client assignments and learning opportunities, leadership tracks that provide quicker exposure to client management and other firm activities (like thought leadership/marketing), and amazing people to work with. Love the focus on client service and exceeding clients’ expectations. Also love that it's not about billable hours, but overall impact, efficiency, and long-term client satisfaction.

Cons

It’s tough when new associates don’t work out and work falls back on more experienced people. I know that’s inevitable since the work is demanding and the firm needs motivated and bright people in order to execute.
