      Lots of support and opportunities when you take an active role in your career.

      EQR provides a large support structure and one of the best things about it, is all you need to do is ask for help or reach out to get help that you need. Plenty of opportunities when you take an active role in your career development, you cannot sit back and wait for things to happen. When you do the right thing for the right reasons, it will be appreciated. Equity does a great job of coaching if you made a decision that was not the best, but they do not make you feel bad about the decision.

      Cons

      Sometimes, the regional offices do feel quite separated and don't allow you to feel like a part of the larger market and instead isolated to your property. With being such a large company, newer employees can feel intimidated to reach out for help or questions.

      When I joined Equity Residential 6 years ago i was not sure what was going to be my journey here, I am glad I join the Company, a company that have competitive pay and benefits, that have and respect diversity and inclusion, managed by people that listen and cares and help you wrought giving you the necessary resources.

      No down sides for the Company.
