      Pros

      At both downtown properties, I loved my colleagues and managers. Managers were professional - nice, considerate, and stood up for their employees in cases when residents cross the line. I got to plan events during the slower times and that ended up launching my current career.

      Cons

      - Working late and very early hours for a building without a security guard was uncomfortable as a young woman. - Disconnect with HQ. When HQ people came to visit, they didn't even bother to meet the staff. Also when they wanted to remodel the lobby space, they didn't bother to ask for input by the staff. It makes no sense to separate the package room from the reception desk. - They started letting go of managers.

      Pros

      Pay is good and effort is rewarded.

      Cons

      You will sometimes see people at their worst when responding to emergencies. This is not meant at a knock on residents, its more that while its routine to respond to emergencies for maintenance its not routine for residents. It can require a bit of people skills to deal with some residents at their most frazzled.

      I have been with Equity 10+ years now! I am grateful for the family and friends that I have met throughout the years! Honestly, it's the people, community, the culture & values that keep me here! Also Equity gives back to the community and makes a difference and impact on peoples lives.
