You are right that we have a lot of long-term, tenured employees, and while we think that’s a wonderful accomplishment as an organization, we understand that it can also limit opportunities for others to grow in the traditional sense. We encourage you to constantly seek ways to expand your current role; there are lots of ways to keep your experience fresh and continue to grow, even when the next step on the ladder isn’t available. We now offer our Accelerate (leadership development) programs for both sales and service, and there are opportunities in each market to be a New Employee Coach, to serve as a Total Wellbeing or Diversity champion, or get involved in special projects and initiatives. Not enough training for the job giving to you, harassment, no extra money giving when promoted, unfair treatment to certain people, managers acting more like friends than a manager with certain employees, assumptions, stressful environment, favoritism, accusing workers of non truthful things, high turnovers

The company culture is fantastic! You have so many resources in the field who are available for help and you are encouraged to voice your opinion and receive a why behind an answer/policy/etc. My co-workers have become my family, and I think this exists at every EQR market.

Cons

While you are encouraged to think like an owner, a lot of business decisions have to get approval from the corporate level.
