CULTURE! Can’t beat it!

Pros

Senior management and executive leadership that truly listens and cares about creating an inclusive culture where all employees are encouraged to have a voice. Self empowerment is promoted; the growth of your career is in your hands if you take ownership.

Cons

Can staff field positions a little lean; when there is turnover it can be very challenging to continue to operate at the same capacity. This is the case for not only on site positions but at the regional level as well.

We couldn’t agree with you more about the powerful, one of a kind culture here. There’s just something about Equity, and that something is driven, engaged, hardworking employees like you. We are so happy that you feel empowered; please keep championing that message with your colleagues, and keep sharing your thoughts and feedback as you grow your career. We also agree with you that staffing can feel lean at times - particularly in the busy summer season. While in a way, it comes with the territory of being a publicly traded company that must always weigh business needs with a return on investment for shareholders, we also know how important it is for you to have the resources to do your job well, so staffing levels are always top of mind for us and are frequently evaluated and discussed. We have attempted to offset this challenge in recent years by hiring additional floaters in the summer months, but we know it’s still a challenge for both the field and corporate departments. We are committed to continuing to evaluate staffing models and resources, and we hope you will commit to continue to speaking up as an advocate, brand ambassador, and valued employee with great ideas. Thank you for all that you do!

Great Company

Pros

Great company! Advancement opportunities if you are motivated. Many great positions in my area are filled by internal applicants. Lots of metrics but with clear direction and measurement standards. Great bosses in the field. Very supportive. Hard work and achievements are recognized often. Amazing training program when you start and throughout your time.

Cons

It has mostly been a great experience. The only cons I have experienced would be that off site training is often far and the hiring process can be lengthy

Thank you so much for your insight and for the uplifting message! We realize that as a company, we have high expectations of our employees and that we ask you to juggle a lot. But we firmly believe that the fact that working here means being surrounded by other talented employees who pride themselves on hard work - and that is what makes this company great. We can’t thank you enough for all that you do - keep up the great work, and thank you for your 5 years of service!

Great company to work for

Pros

Overall Equity is a great company to work for. I feel that I can talk with anyone in the company and the support from different departments is available to me.

Cons

Hiring is a challenge in today economy and with that said more training is needed for new employees and current ones. Our OTD group spends a lot of time on projects the mostly focus on leasing or online training. We really need more hands on support for our service teams.

Thank you so much - first and foremost, for your 8 years of service, and also for your compliments and your honest advice. You brought up a point that we have been feeling for quite some time as well, which is that we need to do everything in our power to prepare our Service team members for the technical challenges of their roles. This is necessary for their own success as well as that of their teams and managers, and is even more pronounced in today’s highly competitive job market, as you pointed out. Fortunately, in the time that has passed since you submitted your review (our apologies for the delayed response!), our OTD team has been hard at work on initiatives that will support our Service teams specifically. With the rollout of Service Basics, we are now offering more hands-on training to new Technicians. And soon we will be piloting something that we are incredibly excited about: our Service Apprenticeship program, which will enable us to spend more time training Service employees before moving them into Technician roles. These programs were created for all of the reasons you mentioned, so we hope you feel heard and acknowledged, and we can’t wait to see the results. Thank you for all that you do and for taking the time to share your thoughts here. We really appreciate you!
