      Pros

      Great culture, hard working employees, and people that want to do the right thing.

      Cons

      Like any large company, employees can get lost if you don't shine. My advice would be to work hard and make a name for yourself and you will get noticed.

      We are elated that you have connected so well with our culture. We appreciate the advice you gave, not only to your counterparts, but also to our Senior Leadership. We agree that being out at the properties is important. We also agree that senior corporate leaders should visit the field, and in fact they do often. However, with over 400 properties, it’s not feasible for them to visit every property on a regular basis while balancing their responsibilities at the corporate office.

      I can't think of one good thing to say.

      Cons

      Equity Residential expects their employees to be assaulted, battered, viciously attacked and spat at while on duty but god forbid you try to defend yourself. I was terminated for self defense that was all caught on tape. I plan on fighting this tooth and nail. Large corporations such as Equity Residential should not be allowed to treat their employees this way. It's time for a change.

      I love how they encourage you to grow and challenge you. Promotion is always available-

      Cons

      I wish they had more places in Washington- I want to move back there. They closed down Fort Lewis so that's a bummer.

      Wonderful! We are thrilled that you have been satisfied working with Equity. Keep an eye out for new developments in Washington. Although I'm sure our Northern California team would be sad to see you go, we have several new communities in the works in the Pacific Northwest.
