As you mentioned, we offer great benefits to our employees and consider those, as well as salaries and performance bonuses, to be part of our total compensation package. Compensation is based on many factors including position, market, experience and performance. We review our compensation annually to ensure we remain competitive and are rewarding our employees appropriately.

      Pros

      Overall I am happy to work for Equity. This company is full of opportunity and if you prove yourself easy to move up. They keep us engaged and training is great.

      Cons

      The only down side so far for me is the Employee discount. I feel they penny pinch a little too much with employees. If the rent discount cannot be higher (the New York Market specifically) at least the other fees, such as parking, pets (maybe a small deposit is necessary), amenity fees can be waived or discounted more than it is. We are paid fairly however, not enough to really be able to truly afford living in an Equity Property comfortably. I believe it is a benefit that we live in our Properties, especially Managers.
