      Pros

      Efficiency - all information to be successful is made available to you. Advancement - many properties in the area, so you have the opportunity for promotion - if you take extra responsibility and produce positive results. Support Groups - a department for marketing, training, financial services, procurement, utility services, legal, etc; so you have resources to reach out to if you need direction/assistance. EQR knows how to run a property. They are very successful at running a business.

      Cons

      You have so many support groups, so you don't need to learn a lot of items that are involved with running a business or real estate. You are somewhat specialized; however, it is a positive if you prefer to focus on a certain task and be successful with it.

As you mentioned, our strong support structure is created by having individuals who are specialized in specific fields.       Quick path to promotion. Great co-workers Decent salary and commission structure 401K match up to 4%

      Cons

      Understaffed Lots of turnover They run their properties like it's a business, money is more important than resident retention.

      Thank you for your feedback. We do give our team members a lot of responsibility, that's part of what makes working at Equity challenging and fun. We are always looking for ways to improve efficiency and give our employees better tools for them to do their jobs. It's true that we never take our eye off the bottom line - no company as successful as Equity does. However, with items like a diverse benefits package and company events, we are always looking to reward our employees for their hard work.
