Pros

The property I worked at really had a team feel and I was able to get along with everybody I worked with.

Cons

* It's tough working renting apartments when the economy is bad and sometimes corporate over puts its frustrations about the market on to it's employees.

Pros

Pay is good. Commissions are great if you have the opportunity to lease anything. Nice sense of "family". Good training. Great benefits. Great property locations.

Cons

I was told that there is always room to grow here at Equity. However, I have been here for years and a promotion is nowhere in sight, although I am one of the top performers in my region. jEquity is becoming so cheap that it is ridiculous! Cutting jobs here and there and leaving the remaining staff to carry the burden. They put unrealistic goals on us. For instance they would like us to rent 20 apartments in two weeks, but they will not run a special or renovate the apartments. Cheap. It just gets tiring having to persuade people to rent with us. Oh yeah, you have to be a miracle worker to get your bonus at the end of the year.

Pros

It was easy enough. I got alot of experience and learned many things about the apartment industry. There was a lot of down time so you could catch up on anything you wanted to catch up on. Most of the people in the community that I worked in were friendly.

Cons

The busy time of day was at the end of the day when you were ready to leave. When people got off of work they were take there anger out on the leasing office. There is always a couple of bad eggs in the apartment community that make life difficult.
