Pros

Family feel, gorgeous communities, one team, pays well, fantastic benefits package w/ 401K and stock options. I am blessed with the best regional and VP in Nor Cal. Regional team listens to the employees, gets to know them, they feel heard and are treated with respect! When a resident has an issue and goes to corporate, the corporate team actually reaches out to the site and you work on it with them to find resolution. I have NEVER worked for a better company. They truly care and that is hard to find! Every single person is invested and you feel like you are one team which is rare. If you are short staffed, you reach out to another community and they are happy to help. The culture is first class and they reward you and your team for hard work! Fun company events, this year we went to an A's game and they encourage a healthy work-life balance

Cons

I cannot think of one con. Equity really treats their employees well!

Pros

Great introduction to property mangement. Pay is decent for the role you are asked to play.

Cons

Senior management can tend to make money driven decisions that can increase the burden and workload on the lower level employees. It's not the work though that suffers it's the relationships that are built with the residents that get damaged. Opportunities for advancement are slim even when you are qualified and in some cases over-qualified.

Pros

Great work life balance. Employee engagement in company events is pretty high. Coworkers seem to get along with one another. With a few specific jobs, career development is highly encouraged. There are many training tools year round to ensure you can do your job which is fair because change is pretty common.

Cons

Pay structure at property level - raises are not really merit based but pay is fair. You can go above and beyond all year and it may not really show much in your annual review/pay increase discussion. As for career opportunities, outside of wanting to become a property manager or service manager, you would have to relocate to a regional location for job opportunities
