There is a nice park nearby and restaurants in walking distance.

Cons

-poor management: chaotic and confusing leadership prefers to only receive positive feedback slow to respond to or address resident and staff complaints does not live up to company's values -angry staff and residents -amenities not working refrigerators and appliances break frequently and get swapped from empty units Fire pits don't work and haven't for a long time -Smells bad wreaks of trash trash shutes are located on each floor and are often full or jammed lingering stench in hallways causing complaints of nausea and mental distress - infested with roaches -lack of security car break-ins in the secured parking garages and mail rooms broken and boarded up doors on some units, missing peep holes on others

Pros

I've worked for EQR for several years and it's flown by. My team is great and so is my boss. She's tough and human at the same time. She pushes you when you need to be pushed. Our company leaders are truly good people and care about the employees, not just the bottom line. Would recommend working for Equity to anyone I know.

Cons

The regional offices don't have the same perks or culture that the main HQ does in Chicago.

Employees matter. Leaders are accessible. We are heard. Compensation is fair.

Cons

I have loved working for Equity but recently there has been a tangible shift in the culture of the company. People are getting scared of the known and there are a lot of hallway conversations happening due to lack of clarity. A lot of turnover at the corporate level with little transparency as to the why so many key leaders are leaving, thus leaving those who stay behind to wonder who is next and more importantly , why are people leaving - especially so many TENURED people.
