      Great place to work, with great work/life balance.

      Cons

      The main HQ is located in Taylor, Texas. It might seem like a long drive at first, but you get used to it after a while.

      Pros

      ERCOT offers a great work / life balance, good career opportunities, and an excellent working environment. The company promotes good health and encourages employees to get involved. There's multiple organizations to get involved in and ways to give back to the community. ERCOT works hard and believes that having some fun is also very important. It's also a VERY stable company!

      Cons

      Some may think that ERCOT's salary isn't competitive. When you look at the benefits ERCOT provides and the cost of those benefits, you'll see that compensation overall is very competitive! ERCOT is key to managing the grid for a vast majority of Texas. Because of the nature of the business, it can be political; for good reason though.
