Pros

The pros is that E/// is a global company with EXCELLENT benefits, stellar in fact.

Cons

E/// acquired the company I worked for in an attempt to gain footing in the media streaming/on-demand area. However, they always seemed to be 2 steps behind the tech curve and the media division is struggling.

Ericsson is getting lost

Pros

Flexible working hours as long work is done within expected time frame. Relatively easy and smooth promotion for entry level engineers level 1 to get up to level 3.

Cons

No work life balance. Weekly work load of 55-60 hours average. Below market average salary. No overtime paid, not even time off for extra 40+ hours worked weekly. Zero percent salary increase during 2 consecutive years to all employees due "low profit in business". Slow time to market response to customers due slow, long and lenghty internal processes. No long term incentive plan to keep employees. No promotion or recognition given to engineers to achieve level 4, just few get there but takes long long time. Barrier for career growth to engineers level 4, this is as far as you can get to. Performance measured as Below average, Meets expectation and exceeds expectation. There is an extremely low cap to limit max number of employees can get Exceeds expectation, no matter how much well you have done in the entire year. No collaborative work environment, since everyone is competing to be the highlight within the department/team. Extremely high overhead count. Upper layer Management keeps exchanging chairs, positions and titles but no actual work is done. Too many processes, bureocracy and paperwork. Lack of training.
