- A real highlight of this position was being encouraged to ask contractors weird personal questions about their race and refer to them as “storm chasers” even when they were just… local professionals standing pleasantly in the sun. - Company culture rewards selective vision. - Creating discomfort was considered a soft skill. - I also developed a rare talent for saying one thing during the inspection and then submitting paperwork that said the exact opposite later. - Accountability is for lesser industries. - No moral compass required. - Fantastic Job for Anyone Who Loves Saying ‘Ask Your Roofer.

- You have to get really good at pretending clear storm damage don’t exist. - Occasionally a homeowner will ask you to put your statements in writing. - Hard to keep your story straight when the drone photos zoom in. - No soul required (it's why I took the job in the first place).
