Pros

As long as you keep your mouth shut then you’re guaranteed to never get fired.

Cons

- pay is awful compared to competitors - the company refuses to innovate since there isn’t too much competition - the number of options for remote work are lacking so they force you to move to the middle of nowhere (Redlands, CA) just because the founder is from there - the management is all old white men that grew up with jack. No real talent present anywhere - the company hires based off of where you went to college and not talent. They promote based off of this as well

Pros

ESRI is a wonderful company to work for and literally makes the world a better place. Great mission and technology and wonderful people. Starting to develop career paths for people.

Cons

Focus on retention and competitive pay. Job market is hot now and good people are leaving for better paying jobs. Also cannot hire for positions because the market is good and we can’t recruit the right people at current pay scales.
