Pros

Pay. But definitely not worth dealing with the incompetence and toxic work environment!

Cons

Where do I begin? The treatment of the employees is terrible! Management degrades their employees. Constantly having your job threatened via "write ups" over the most trivial of things. The place is a walking OSHA violation. For instance, had an employee pop a 2,500 lb tote full of hazmat (corrosive), hazmat team was not called and the employees were made to clean it without proper PPE,(this has happened in more than several instances throughout my 10+ years). Everyone gets paid overtime after 40 unless you are a driver or dockworker, in which case it's overtime after 50 it was 55. They essentially pick which law to follow and group the dockworkers with the drivers, if they did pay the dockworkers overtime at 40 they would go bankrupt due to the amount of hours they work. Hard work gets you nowhere with this company but more work and more weight to pull. They allow the lazy employees to remain that way and make the veterans fix all the mistakes for the lazy ones. When I was hired over 10 years ago I was told we didn't take a lunch, in fact, a few years ago an employee was fired for taking a lunch break. He clocked out for 30 minutes, came back, then was asked about why he left, he finished the shift, the information was passed onto the terminal manager and he was let go for "job abandonment." They didn't implement and enforce lunch breaks until January of 2022. Then it was only 30 minutes and have worked past the 12 hour mark on many occasions. Work-life balance is non existent! Several years ago I witnessed the terminal manager get several teeth broken along with his jaw over the way he approached and spoke to this specific employee, yeah, that's the type of environment you will get at this company! There really needs to be a through investigation on the company as a whole! That's just my brief description of SOME of the things I've seen and had to deal with. LOOK ELSEWHERE FOR EMPLOYMENT! The pay isn't worth the trouble!

Horrible Management

Pros

Loved selling, going out meeting and helping/finding solutions for customers with their shipping needs. Liked working with my co-workers. Benefits were good.

Cons

Manager had some major anger management issues (his past with the company, he punched another employee, they fired him and then hired him back) - many question, Why would a company hire someone like this back? He speaks to others rudely and with total ‘out of control’ disrespect to the point of belittling, threatening and bullying tactics. Multiple people have left, even though they loved their job, just because of him being their manager. The company has people who work their tails off yet they are overlooked for promotions. They seem to put those in higher positions who are either unknowledgeable and unmotivated to do the job or do they seem to have any desire to learn, so the hard working employees are stuck to work under these type of managers.
