Pros

It's hard to get terminated for anything as the company is highly risk averse.

Cons

Chaotic and disorganized. With a culture that emphasizes short term performance over long term health, most decision makers haphazardly spit mercurial direction in response to whatever headwind stands prominent in recent memory.

Ethos Corporate Culture Review

Pros

In the field of veterinary medicine, particularly within corporately owned specialty hospitals like those under Ethos Veterinary Health, ethics and social responsibility are essential to ensuring both animal welfare and a healthy workplace culture. Ethos promotes a code of ethics centered around values such as integrity, respect, and a strong commitment to patient care. These values are intended to guide decisions, foster client trust, and encourage responsible participation in the broader community.

Cons

While these core values are frequently emphasized, there can be a disconnect between stated principles and real-world application. Leadership often expresses a commitment to supporting team members, but decisions sometimes appear to prioritize financial outcomes over staff well-being. For instance, when our hospital temporarily closed, employees were asked to either go without pay or use their accrued PTO. Meanwhile, when asked whether regional leadership or corporate representatives would also share in the financial burden, it was made clear that no such pay cuts would occur at their level. This created a sense of inequity and called into question the sincerity of the organization’s ethical commitments.
