Maybe it's just my org

Pros

Etsy, as a company, takes care of their employees. We have pretty decent medical benefits, PTO, extended leave, sick time, etc. The company's executive team seems to really care about the success of the company and it's employees.

Cons

My org seems to behave in a way that isn't Etsy-aligned, so there aren't may cons to Etsy as a whole — just seems like the executive team's vision is felt across all of the company.

Thank you for sharing this with us. We’re glad that our focus on competitive benefits and caring for our employees has positively impacted your time with us. However, we’re concerned to hear your comment about your department operating and being managed in a way that doesn’t feel ‘Etsy-aligned.’ Management and HR are trained and available to support any employee who feels that Etsy’s standards of management and support may not have been upheld, and we encourage you to reach out to your HR Business partner – whose information you can find on the Intraknit – for confidential assistance. We hope this step will help.

Pros

Etsy is a wonderful place if you can handle a fast paced, ever changing environment. I've been here for almost 4 years and the company has been nothing but supportive of me and my career and especially in times when things personally were not great. The company deeply cares about us as humans and for that I am thankful.

Cons

The only con is that we move too quickly at times, because of that we do often have to change directions which can cause a lot of fatigue among teams

Pros

Pretty good benefits. Culture has a very mature attitude about failure and human error. Interesting scale.

Cons

"Startup-like" culture is in the process of being erased, due largely to recent switch to publicly-traded status. Lots of layoffs. Constant priority inversion on all teams. Leadership unable to give a sense of direction.
