      Pros

      the people who do the day to day work are awesome.

      Cons

      The management has no direction, looking to cut corners and save money, but cutting the wrong people from a minimum team as it is.

      PSS - Better than being a contractor, worse than being a salaried employee

      Pros

      The company does offer some benefits which you don't get with a contract position: Paid leave, insurance, dental etc. though these are not as good as offered by other companies. Annual merit increases and bonuses were given, but were quite low.

      Cons

      Communication to PSS sites is very poor from the main PA site. The company gives the impression of having expanded quickly without building the necessary management structures to cope with the expansion, so there are continuous policy changes and no one is really sure what is going on sometimes. HR structure at PSS sites is not very good.

      Good place to start out

      Pros

      Small microbiology lab so you get to learn all methods the lab performs. Training was very good even though they expected you to learn a lot in short amount of time.

      Cons

      Hours tend to vary and have to work on the weekend. The pay is not very good especially with the high standards they have for the work you do.
