Pros

The trainers were nice. That's it. The office stipend isn't even a pro, considering you probably already HAD a decent home office if you were applying to a fully remote job.

Cons

This company is pitching itself as an “Iron Man Suit” for paralegals/legal drafters, and it’s really not. It’s a feudal estate full of hundreds of serfs (legal drafters, and they have given the serfs one busted Garden Weasel: a.k.a. their 'ai' demand generator, where 'ai' means "actively impeding", NOT 'AI', as in "artificial intelligence." The feudal overlords (management/squad leaders) then act shocked and incensed when the serf’s output is not, in fact, 900% - NINE HUNDRED PERCENT - more. That doesn't even pass the basic sniff test for AI productivity boosts based on MULTIPLE studies. Their solution to that problem is to add incessant nagging by squad leaders and management. Surely incessant nagging + busted Garden Weasel = 900% productivity boost, right? RIGHT?! (SPOILER: It only boosts attrition, not productivity.) AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE, unless you enjoy abuse while doing something that will FEEL, at worst, fraudulent and, at BEST, inefficient and incompetent. There is a REASON this place routinely has 200+ job postings for remote Legal Operations Associates (drafters), and it’s NOT because they are “a growing startup with rapid expansion.” It’s because it’s a horrible letter-writing sweatshop masquerading as software-as-a-service “ai.” People join, go through training, quickly realize it's a lie and bounce. In my training, several people asked, "How is this AI if we still have to review all the pages of the records ourselves and fix everything it got wrong?" On DAY ONE! LOL Also, I am guessing most of their customers are wholly ignorant about how their files are being handled. I think most would be livid if they knew how that demand-letter sausage was actually made.

Pros

The term "hyper growth" is overused, but in this case it's absolutely true and backed up by hard numbers. With that comes a ton of interesting problems to solve, and leaders actively give people opportunities to work on problems they want. I feel comfortable to take risks and challenge myself here.

Cons

Start-ups problems come with fuzzy boundaries; if the problems were easy, someone else would've solved them already. Colleagues are super friendly and helpful, but don't expect hand-holding every step of the way. Sometimes you gotta go the extra mile to help the team win.
