Pros

If you like a challenge, you will find plenty of those to keep you busy. The types of cases you will deal with are mostly motor vehicle collisions but you will also run into product liability, child abuse, and other cases that might get you fired up to draft a great demand regardless of the complexity of the type of claim. Also the insurance cost is very reasonable, which is nice. If the unlimited PTO were actually unlimited, that would be an awesome perk too.

Cons

I don't have the time to write all the cons but first and foremost would be they will outright mislead you during the interview process. I was concerned about work life balance but was led to believe that it would be like all the other jobs I have held during my legal career and I would be able to walk away at the end of the day most of the time. This was simply not honest. You will be working weekends unless you are one of the very few who can somehow meet the goal in five days or work (and sometimes less!). The amount of meetings you will have will have your head spinning. New technologies and expectations are added on what feels like an hourly basis. Good luck keeping up. And while you are learning those technologies and having those meetings, your goal is not reduced. You will just have to work more on the weekend. This job might be a great fit for some but for most I would recommend seriously paying attention to the red flags (including how many one star reviews there are on Glassdoor).

The bad outweighs the good

Pros

-Generous stipend for setting up remote work environment. -Many opportunities for bonuses or periods of increased pay. -Fully remote work.

Cons

-No work-life balance, frequently expected to work late hours or on weekends. -Frequently given numerous additional responsibilities not described in the initial job offering, expected to perform hours of additional work with no extra compensation. -Success is heavily dependent on luck, cases you receive, and your team. Your success is frequently out of your control. -Overly competitive, co-workers often place blame on others to make up for a unhealthy system.
