Thank you for being part of the Event Network family for nearly a decade! Our Store Directors are dynamos – handling great responsibility with grace and positivity - daily! Yours are certainly big shoes to fill. Absolutely, we are proud of our diversity, and of our inclusive and fun culture. Wellness is a big part of how we stay healthy, connected to one another, and able to provide the best in-store experiences to guests. Opportunities for advancement arise regularly within the company, however, as retail operators we are bound to the venue locations in which we operate. Opportunities also arise at our Corporate offices in California and Utah for candidates willing to relocate or move into a non-retail role. Our People Services Team always welcome interest in available roles.

Pros

Very cool locations to work in and generally nice people to work for.

Cons

There is a slight lack of regard for the little guys. There is fighting over a minimum wage employee getting an extra 5 cents on their paycheck, but spend exuberantly elsewhere.

We certainly agree with you about our cool partner venues and awesome people! And the way we see it, there are no “little guys” among us. Each one of us plays an important role, and each one of us contributes to Event Network’s success story. We look to market data when determining wages and review this data regularly to ensure we offer competitive rates and benefits. If you feel that you are not receiving a fair wage for your job role, we encourage you to reach out to your Store Director or Store Quality, VP so that they can review further – as well as offer a path for performance-based adjustments. Thank you for sharing more about your experience – we are listening, and interested in ways we can do more, better, or just differently – to support our teams. Your feedback helps us ensure we’re creating an environment where everyone thrives. Thank you.

Don't be fooled.

Pros

Working at a museum, aquarium, zoo, etc. is obviously fun. You're lucky if you're off with great co-workers, but nothing about the company itself is great, except maybe a flexible schedule, but then again, not really because you're forced to work weekends and holidays.

Cons

I've been working for the company for about 4 years. Don't be fooled by the smiles and "happy faces" from the managers here, this is not a happy place. The work dynamic at the stores are horrible. If you work part-time, which is most of the employees at the company, forget about it. The pay is terrible. They are SO money hungry and cheap that they'd do anything to take money from visitors but nothing for the employees. The environment is so bad that there is a huge turnover in employees which leaves remaining employees overworked. If they managed to actually create a proper working environment, there wouldn't be underpaid and overworked employees. Most don't stay for long, for good reason. There is a major lack of communication, especially during the current pandemic. Just a mess overall. If you read the other negative reviews, you'll notice a pattern. I was lucky enough to have some great co-workers that kept me sane throughout. But the actual company, no. This isn't a serious job if that's what you're looking for.

Thank you for your comments. While it’s disappointing to hear this feedback after four years together, we are listening and welcome you to share more about your experience by emailing our People Services Team directly at peopleservices@eventnetwork.com. As you know, retail in the museum environment includes weekends and holidays. We strive to create an environment that supports open communication and connection through regular newsletters, bi-monthly Live all-team video calls, and our active intranet bulletin. We care very much about the well-being of each team member, and are very proud of the extended benefits we provided to all during the Covid closures. We can always do more, and take your feedback to heart. Wishing you well.
