      Pros

      The event network team I worked for felt like a family away from home. We got our jobs done, but allowed for a great culture to manifest at the same time! They will work with you on learning anything new that will help advance your position in the company.

      Pros

      The role was great for learning new skills. Treated more like an individual business owner.

      Cons

      No relationship with direct manager. No HR support for leadership, only for the part time employees. Very quick to not forgive or reprimand, but let go when mistakes were made, even when admitted to. Antiquated systems, and vendors would call individual stores looking for payment, because their accounting wasn’t paying the vendors.

      Solid company, impressive partners, good people

      Pros

      I truly enjoy working at the San Diego HQ. Everyone is happy to help out, and very knowledgeable in their respective areas. It's a joy to work with talented and bright colleagues. It's a very professional atmosphere, and all the necessary tools to do the job well are supplied. There are many initiatives to foster a great culture -- they take time to celebrate anniversaries, acknowledge people who make a special effort or achieve a personal milestone. There are small celebrations pretty regularly, and opportunities to grow personally, with special guest lecturers on a range of topics. My team is straightforward, honest, fair, and supportive. It's also a privilege to work with amazing partners from respected institutions.

      Cons

      None. As with any large company, it's impossible to know everyone at first, but eventually you run into each person at the kitchen and build up a rapport! When you start as a new employee, some of their required training videos are on the long side...but I'd rather have them in place than not.
