Challenging but rewarding

Pros

As a 10+ year employee (Account Management) I can say it has been a great place to work. Those who are willing and able to learn quickly, work hard and apply themselves will find this place invigorating and rewarding. I have developed close relationships within the organization and with my customers. I also have had personal satisfaction of pretty much running my own show. I feel I have been trusted and appreciated and have become part of an extended “family” here and with my customers. The position has always been secure. The company is honest, stable and customer-focused. A fun product: combines art, engineering and construction.

Cons

It is not for everyone. My job is very demanding and requires a great deal of organizational, technical and relationship-building ability. A very steep learning curve and lot to absorb quickly. In addition it requires patience and persistence. Those who expect to have everything laid out for them and a set of easy to handle duties will be get frustrated and become disenchanted.

Pros

Free coffee and popcorn. Working environment is more relaxed than the average manufacturing facility. Company was started by the Wamser family. With a name like Wamser, can you really go wrong here?

Cons

Management is full of people with entertaining personalities, but not a lot of company or industry know-how. There is definitely a shady, behind the scenes machine that has placed people in positions for reasons other than qualifications. If walls could talk, there would probably be some new people in decision-making positions. The different locations do not work well together. Training needs to be re-emphasized across the board. Management on all levels is full of people that have been with the company for years, and many aren't worried about seeing the business prepare for the future, these people just go with the flow hoping to ride things out until retirement. Just because you spend time at your job does not mean you're contributing quality time.

Pros

The position allows you to explore many facets of account management such as negotiation, developing quote proposals, project management, final billing, etc.

Cons

Management has no regard for employees, workload is beyond what any individual can complete, and the work is monotonous and repetitive. After the first week you will see how this organization is run from the top all the way down management has ZERO training and little respect for employees
