The culture and the staff are unlike any other hospital employer. The work is challenging and you work with a diverse group of employees. It is a small enough hospital that you can make an impact and they truly care about patients.

Cons

Limited career ladder growth opportunities for professional staff. Sometimes decision making can be slow with all the layers.

Pros

Great co-workers, free parking, staff truly care about the patients. Not part of a giant corporation, Medical benefits are acceptable.

Cons

Upper management is terrible. The CEO is a greedy selfish jerk. County hospital, so the only people who get bonuses are the management. Registered nurses are the only staff who celebrated and valued. The rest of the support staff go unrecognized and undervalued. Kirkland and King county are both very expensive to live in, and the wages of the support staff are not keeping up with the rise of the cost of living.
