Can be a bit dangerous for entry level
Pros
You get to learn how to strip wires, use safety equipment, if you like physical labor this job is for you
Cons
Managers may not care to provide certain equipment for jobs at times, for example I was not provided an insulated ladder, which is needed to protect against electrocution. Luckily another worker on the job site informed me about the needed for that type of ladder because I was just an entry level install tech. Weird ways to do things that the installer tech should be able to do, you will have to do a lot of calling for some things we should be able to do, like setting the type of control panel or job type within our job description. Manager mentioned it is necessary to mention what control panel we work with in job description, but you have to call support to do something so basic and even they didn't understand what we meant by that. It can be frustrating if you already hate this type of work. Last thing, if you are entry level be prepared to be rushed to work by yourself within a month. Honestly needs to be apprenticeship of some sort.
