Pros

- Fascinating industry and compelling real-world problems - Some world-class talent, namely the developers in the software development teams - Supportive DevOps and SRE leads and contractors who truly go above and beyond

Cons

- Little organization transparency on decision-making. Decisions surprise even middle managers and VPs and regularly endanger the little team morale that is left. Do not trust any quarterly financial recaps or any customer sales accounts. - Product leadership is turbulent. It has been either non-existent, impatient, reactive or too Gartner-coded. Believe it or not, there was recently small improvement for a few months before a sharp decline. - The org structure has never made sense and promotes dysfunction and extreme paranoia between departments. - Technical debt is absolutely off the charts and unmanageable due to years of neglect and abandoned engineering advocacy in favor of political games. - Management is over their heads and inexperienced (or even completely negligent in one particular case). - Authentic company culture is almost non-existent and what little is left got further eroded since key contributors left or got laid off. Not even "company hackathons" can salvage this lack of culture - even these are micromanaged. - Trying to amend company employee agreements to keep people from jumping off ship. - HR is completely incompetent since layoffs and good ones got let go. Goal tracking system for employee bonuses got removed in late 2023 and a suitable replacement system is not widely used in 2026, meaning employee comp remains a mess

Pros

Colleagues were supportive, but apart from that, there was nothing positive about the company (based on my experience; this may vary by team).

Cons

I would strongly advise against joining this company for the sake of your career. I’m sharing this review so others don’t end up wasting their career or valuable time here, as I felt I did 1. Poor Work-Life Balance – Long working hours with unrealistic expectations made it hard to maintain any balance. 2. Constant Fear of Layoffs – The work environment often felt unstable, creating ongoing anxiety about job security. 3. Lower Payscale Compared to Industry Standards – Compensation did not feel aligned with the workload or market benchmarks. 4. Lack of Effective Management – Leadership felt unorganized and communication from management was unclear or inconsistent. 5. No Personal Workspace – Working conditions felt cramped, with little privacy or space to focus. 6. Limited Career Growth – Very few opportunities for learning, upskilling, or role progression. 7. Poor Internal Communication – Important information was not shared clearly, leading to confusion and delays. 8. Unstructured Work Processes – Processes felt chaotic and frequently changed without proper guidance. 9. High Workload with Low Support – Expectations were high, but support, mentorship, and resources were minimal. 10. Micromanagement or Unclear Expectations – Either too much oversight or no guidance at all, making it hard to perform effectively. 11. Work Culture Does Not Feel Employee-Friendly – The overall environment did not feel supportive or motivating. 12. Limited Recognition – Hard work often went unnoticed, and appreciation was minimal. 13. Stressful Environment – Because of unclear processes, workload, and lack of stability, the daily environment felt stressful. 14. Tech/Tools Not Up to Standard (If applicable to your experience) – Some tools or systems felt outdated, making work harder. 15. Onboarding/Training Gaps – New employees often struggled due to insufficient training or unclear expectations.
