Pros

-Evolve is the perfect place for someone just starting out (or for someone still living at home). You get a lot of involvement in presentations, training, and can experience what it's like to communicate with high level executives. I hate to pawn a con off as a pro, but you will get a great view into what you don’t want as well. That is valuable for someone between the ages of 21-24. All in all, if you have help from family and can afford to get paid a little less, this may be a really good start for you. -The relationships you build will be long-lasting. Evolve has a true knack for hiring amazing people. Wish I could say the same for promoting people, but nonetheless, you’ll have a lot of fun outside of work. Perhaps too much. -Your ideas are heard and you can work alongside product managers in order to implement said ideas. Sometimes. -Evolve is trying to keep up with the benefits, they really are. -Amazing founder, co-founder, and HR department. Truly. The founders are both highly intellectual in terms of business and emotional intelligence. They're good family men! I don't think they have any clue what's actually going on and how bad things really are, so none of this is geared towards them. If anything, I'd like them to read this in order to gain more insight.

Cons

-Pay, pay, pay. Denver is a BOOMING city, and rent is through the roof. Evolve is one of the companies that is contributing to the lowest income to rent ratios in the country. Change is absolutely needed in this department and the salary they're offering can only go on for so long. They can't expect full-time employees to keep their second jobs. -At 26-30 years old, you won't be able to enjoy nice meals, vacations, or hobbies because of this. -The company doesn't honor some of it's most loyal members. There are some people there who exhausted themselves for 3+ years and have continuously gotten kicked down, but picked themselves back up for the sake of the company. However, never got rewarded for it. You can try and try and try and it won't be noticed. Passion is almost insulted as 'too passionate,' then the person next to you who couldn't care less gets promoted. This won't be an issue for people that like to just keep their head down and work. -Glaringly obvious hierarchy based off friendship and tenure. Time CANNOT be a requirement for promotion or leadership -Sorority and Fraternity-Like Relationships: I've seen managers chat for hours on end about non-work-like topics. I've seen distractions from leadership that seep unto the teams behavior. I've seen gossip that was not conducive to the company be passed around like a TV drama. And I've seen it be the cause of peoples departures.

Great culture but needing to step out of the start up mentality

Pros

Ability to make improvements and influence change Great for recent graduates looking for their first job

Cons

There seems to be a lack of care and consideration for retaining hardworking employees and acknowledging talent. The top execs continue to increase their salary but there is not an apparent trickle-down effect for any position other than C level leadership.
