Pros

Fully Remote. Good benefits. Autonomy.

Cons

Constantly changing commission structure. Too many changes too fast.

Thank you for taking the time to share this and for being a VRA for the last 3 years. We're glad remote flexibility, benefits, and autonomy are working for you. We regularly evaluate how we're structuring compensation to better align with performance and business outcomes. We encourage you to raise specific questions with your manager or People Business Partner. Because we're a high-performance culture, our pace of change and innovation won't slow—it will accelerate as we adapt to customer and market needs.

Pros

My co-workers and managers were some of the most talented, knowledgeable people I have ever worked with. The pay was pretty good.

Cons

There are too many to name, honestly. Read through all of the negative reviews and understand that they are all accurate descriptions of what it is like to work for Evolve. Upper management has created an extremely toxic and stressful workplace environment. As I stated previously, there are too many cons to list them all but these will give you an idea: micromanagement, mulitple shift bids per year, constant changes in SOPs and metrics, fear of losing your job at any time (multiple RIFs, downsizing and consistent firings of multiple people at once), metrics that are very difficult to reach, back-to-back calls from angry guests and owners and not enough time given to resolve issues, not enough staff to handle the workload, no clear path to growth opportunities, and the list goes on. I am a positive person who can handle stressful, escalated situations in high performance positions. However, this company's culture of constant change and upheaval, that they dress up as high performing and obsessed with customers, creates a whole new level of stress and workplace dissatisfaction. As someone else mentioned in another review, they are actually asking people to come here and leave a good review to try and balance all the negative reviews that have been left. When they say on their own career site that it is not for everyone, believe them.

Thank you for your time at Evolve, and we're glad the caliber of your coworkers and your compensation were meaningful parts of your experience. Evolve is a fast-paced environment with high—but clear—expectations. It's how we best serve our customers and create the best opportunities for Evolvers. Our pace of change and innovation won't slow. For those who want to grow, stretch, and help build a category-defining business—this is the place. But that's not for everyone, and that's OK.

Pros

Evolve’s High-Performance Culture is demanding. With that said, its Evolve has a strong, performance-driven culture with a clear focus on customer outcomes. The company actively gathers feedback from homeowners and consistently uses that data to improve the product and overall experience. There is a genuine effort to innovate and evolve based on customer needs, which makes it easier to stand behind the service and believe in what is being offered.

Cons

There is a noticeable gap between how internal growth opportunities are communicated and how they are executed. While upward mobility is emphasized, internal candidates do not always receive clear communication or follow-up after applying or interviewing for new roles. This can create frustration and lead to a lack of trust, especially for employees who are actively trying to grow within the company.

Thank you for your feedback and for the five years you've contributed to Evolve. We're glad to hear that our customer-obsessed culture, focus on data-driven improvement, and commitment to owner outcomes resonate — those remain core to how we operate. Your point on internal mobility is one we take seriously, and we encourage you to share this with your leadership or People Business Partner. Internal candidates deserve clear communication and follow-through.
