Big company that cares

Pros

In my time here at Exelon I've seen a fortune 100 company that encourages it's employees to give back and puts it's money where its mouth is. If you volunteer certain levels of hours they will give certain bonuses to that, or any, organization. Aside from that the workplace is great, fun people encouraging work/life balance fair salary and benefits.

Cons

It's a large company so the curve to get ramped up is quite large and security adds to that given the process to get into any system.Overall I'd sum it up in saying trying to steer a ship this large is a gradual change not something you can expect to move in a few weeks.

Pros

Job is exactly what I expected. People are willing to help you out and teach you. Great benefits. Very tight-knit community as far as Operations is concerned. Rotating shiftwork (I see it as a pro though since it promotes lots of time off)

Cons

Different expectations from various managers. Mistakes from previous Initial License Trainees are carried over and placed on new ones. Seems to be a high turnover rate, for reasons I am not yet aware of. Some forced overtime due to manning issues, doesn't let you reap the benefits of shiftwork to its full extent.
