Kind of boring at times. People were very quiet most of the time. At times work load became stagnant and boring.

Pros

Great networking opportunities Awesome Intern events Collaboration with other departments Volunteer Sessions Professional Development Groups

Cons

Majority of the team I was assigned to was fairly new. Whenever they would make mistakes they would blame it on the interns. Throughout the entire program I constantly asked for feedback on tasks in which I was assigned. In result i was ALWAYS told by team members "everything is great" and "you're doing a good job" only to find out team members were bashing me to my manager. She never came to me for verification of these accusations either. When I went to her I was accused of being defensive. She (my manager) never showed any interest in me, or my career goals she didn't even ask what they were. Nor did she ever interact with me if she didn't have to. Common hallway interactions she would avoid eye contact at all cost and go out of her way to avoid a conversation with me. My third day with the company she asked me "how I managed to land this position". She also made inappropriate remarks to me quite often which lead me to develop anxiety while at work. Everything I learned about the company I learned from people I met at Intern networking events. My team would invite me to meetings, I would attend and my manager would tell me that I don't need to be there. Why invite me only to kick me out how do you expect me to learn anything. This was a terrible experience.

We are committed to creating a supportive internship program that allows our interns the opportunity to grow and contribute at her or his greatest potential. The company has made enormous progress in this area, but still has more work to do. Feedback from our interns is essential to making sure we get it right. If you are willing to provide additional details, we would appreciate it. Please feel free to email us at CorporateTalentAcquisition@exeloncorp.com.
