      Pros

      1) Exelon is working to align a multitude of business practices across its companies - ComEd, BGE and PECO. 2) Excellent benefits. 3) Openness to exploring and moving to alternative departments/business units.

      Cons

      ComEd culture is changing but many employees continue to operate through fear and manage in a punative manner. This creates a toxic, unproductive environment with unhappy employees.

      Pros

      Lots of different career opportunities, all within one company. There are plenty of advancement opportunities. Good benefits. Employees are generally supported by their managers.

      Cons

      Exelon is a very large company, and the individual companies that fall under Exelon are fragmented. They do not all receive the same benefits, nor do they all operate the same way. Depending on which type of position you have with Exelon, work life balance can vary from good to non-existent. Benefits package is diminishing regularly.

      Pros

      Excellent compensations (base, bonuses, 401k, PTO), challenging work environment with unparalleled potential for growth. Diverse and professional work environment (which can vary from place to place) Some positions have better work-life balance than others, but if you make an effort everyone can maintain a good work-life balance.

      Cons

      Emergent work and equipment issues can lead to unschedule work days or longer than desired work days. Some sites have more negative office cultures than others. Most are positive, and even with the ones that are negative, the people are sticking around.
