Pros

Work Life Balance is good. Learning opportunities are there. There's a lot of opportunity to do good work if you put yourself out there. Otherwise it's a slow working environment.

Cons

Getting anything done (even the logistical and administrative stuff) has a long process to it. The mainstays who have been working there for 10+ years can tend to have a closedminded approach to any new work items or suggestions.

Pros

The ICs are great, and people want to do great work. Travel discount is good and don’t have to track PTO (most teams).

Cons

Super toxic culture. 100 different decision makers for every small decision, yet noone actually wants to make a decision. Do weeks of work over one project only to have it suddenly be paused or deprioritized for no apparent reason Layoffs done in secret Politics everywhere Leadership changes every few months

Pros

Good work culture, good work life balance, leadership has been good in recent times

Cons

The company as a whole hasn't found a clear strategy to beat and stay ahead of the competition. The stock has had sharp spikes downward more often than upward. Some of the other major tech employers in the region have done much better in the last decade than Expedia has.
