Pros

In the last 3 years, every pro this company had is GONE!

Cons

The company is over headcount 2000 employees - they are now letting go of "low performers." So - layoffs without layoffs. They want to keep to the reputation of a company that doesn't do layoffs but that is what they are doing.

Pros

Good health insurance, that's it.

Cons

Where do I begin? The pay is almost insultingly low, they give you a dollar raise per year if you earn it and tout it like it's the biggest raise ever. My dept manager literally said "we worked hard to get you this dollar raise". What a joke. Might have been nice back in 1975. Throughout the pandemic while we were WFH the C-Level executives kept telling us how much of an amazing job we were doing but the second the pandemic starts to subside, they want us back in the office 5 days a week. We broke revenue records during WFH but they won't acknowledge it, they need the control. They learned nothing! They plan to give us 26 work from home days which is, again, insultingly low. And you have to plan them in advance and request them like PTO, and you only get 3 days in a row. Oh btw, you have to buy your own equipment if you plan to take advantage of this "benefit". This company is run by old white men who are stuck in the 1980s, don't expect any kind of modernization any time soon. No accountability for employees who are underperforming.

Good Company For College Graduates For A Year

Pros

If you are new to the industry Expeditors has good training programs. If you are a college graduate you will get good work experience and lots of hours.

Cons

Work/Life balance is more like work/work balance. The hours they push should be illegal. If I could I would put negative stars for the Work/Life balance. Management is sedimentary and old fashioned although very young in age. Management lacks maturity and are untouchable. If you don't get promoted in the first year you won't or the promotions will come very slowly. Pay is low compared to the rest of the industry unless you make it to top-tier manager. Formal attire required every day. Many people lose vacation days every year. All vacation days do not roll and drop at the end of the year. Branch compared to corporate does not share the same culture or work hours. Lack of career progression or formal career path. Lots of talk of opportunities but very few actually exist. Cheerleading by management but nothing to cheer about.
