Pros

These folks don't just give lip service to their company culture. They live it, and they're sincere about it. You are treated with respect and valued as a contributor. Opportunity is a major component in an employee's career, evidenced by the various executives who started in entry-level positions.

Cons

Not a great place for serious technologists. Innovation time is not a top priority, refactoring isn't taken seriously, and layers of bureaucracy must be muddled through to secure resources or get any decisions made, even about the most inconsequential utilities.

Pros

It's a steady job. The company still has an old-school mindset, but I think it is trying to be more current and listen to what the employees want.

Cons

Have to wear business professional attire (including tie for men). Benefits are ok, but not really competitive. Some teams are better than others.

Pros

+Pay is at the top end of the scale. +Benefits are great as nothing was taken out of my paycheck except for 401k and ESPP contributions. That was it!!! +Nice office environment too.

Cons

+Management was just ok. In an employee orientation meeting, the group I was in was told by a VP that the company wanted to know sooner rather than later who was going to leave in the first year. He stated that about 40% of new hires leave. After the that it tapers down in the second, third and fourth year. After the fourth year most stay. +The current system uses a HIGHLY SOPHISTICATED version of COBOL. They have been trying to convert to JAVA for almost 10 years now but really can't.
