Overworked and underpaid

Pros

-great supportive team -remote work from home flexibility -3 1/2 weeks of PTO when you start -it’s a good way to start your recruiting career because you learn a lot

Cons

I worked as a recruiter for 2.5 years. They severely underpay their employees compared to the market rate. During my time there I have see hundreds of people get laid off, and they have also started outsourcing a lot of their jobs to India. This is an indication that the company isn’t doing well. They have an extremely high turnover rate and low employee morale. Overall I feel like the company lacks organization and direction. In addition, they lack diversity in leadership positions. Everyone I know that still works there is looking for a way out.

Pros

The only good thing about Experis is that you can learn to detect crooks that are exploiting you in fancy suits

Cons

The one and only thing they care at Experis is profit. Absolutely nothing else matters. Nobody cares about the well-being or satisfaction of employees, the image of the company, employees' opinion on their management... as long as profit is made, so the managers can buy another house in the UK. For this reason, there's no training, no business plan of any kind, no innovative work environment, no flexibility... you can just expect to go there at 8:30, pick up the landline phone, and call, call, call, call, call... nobody cares who you can, what you talk about, as long as they see you talking on the phone. There are practictally no Swiss people in the office, only foreigners who came to Switzerland through their spouses and they can't find any job in the country. Since salaries are so low they only hire people who have no expectation of any kind as long as they can stay in the country. Not surprisingly, most recruiters are completely unsuccessful and stressed. Work-life balance is nonexistent.
