Focus on cutting bottom line for profitability and lack of internal growth potentiality allows high turnover of talent.

Pros

The people are great (sometimes depending on the store). There is a lot of energy.

Cons

The pay is much lower than it was before the economy crashed. Raises were frozen for a year. The raises are not as much as they used to be. There is NO incentive to work hard. If you work hard, you will be used during peak hours in peak locations (fitting room, cash wrap), but there is no incentive to this.

Pros

Many locations leave you a lot of options. Ok Discount if you are a fan of the brand... extra discount days are fun.

Cons

If there is a Store Communications team in existence you surely don't feel it in the stores. Directives sent were not clear since they were so hastily put together. Do not appreciate the whole person........ no work life balance as you are in your store minimum of 6 days/week as an SM with texts and emails coming in to you on your personal phones from some DMs at all hours of the day and night even when you are off. No training for associates... 2 hours of "onboarding" to complete paperwork is not enough to teach them what is really expected. The promo/marketing 'library' needs and overhaul!

Pros

Great clothing! Fun atmosphere! The people work hard and the company provides the tools for you to succeed if you work hard. Possible advancement within the company but you may have to put in your time first. Great benefits

Cons

It's retail. Since they became public they've had to redo a lot of there systems. Id think since it express some of theyre electronic systems would be more up to date. Like having a hand scanner! In time I think they'll be much more efficient. Very high expectations. How high is too high? It's hard to balance work/life schedules, but that's just retail.
